Today marks the birth date of a woman that has taught, inspired, empowered, and guided me towards becoming the kind of man that I am today. A woman that raised me and instilled in me unshakable values and morals; through her I’ve learned about honor, respect, integrity, loyalty, discipline, honesty and love. Mistakes might have been made but she somehow managed to use them as teaching tools. Misunderstandings were present but never smothered. All the while I can attest that the things that were never missing were Love, food, availability, trust and a sense of freedom to reach for my dreams. Truly, if there would have never been a her…there would have never been a me.
